Please be sure to follow me on my accounts on Instagram @susanlittleartist, and on Facebook at Susan Little Watercolour and Acrylic Paintings. I am now focusing on those platforms daily about where my painting journey takes me. Also to read my art blogs they are available here too! They are chock full of my art tips, techniques, insights and travels so come see where my adventures have taken me.

I’ve been having a blast painting new work in a range of styles and genres. I love working with colour and I’m intrigued with all the effects I can achieve. My roots are in illustration so much of my work is based on using strong design elements.  My favourite mediums to work in are watercolours and acrylics, but I also create paintings in mixed media adding inks, crayons, markers and pastels with some collage work too.

In each painting approach I always am aiming at having the end result be full of energy and impact. Whether it’s my lakeside woodland landscapes, stylized tropical fish, fanciful flowers or dynamic abstracts each painting is filled with layers of brilliant colour. My various painting materials and methods are a challenge and a joy to do which I have also loved sharing during my workshops so that my students can enjoy the experience too.

My travels have taken me to some of the most gorgeous scenery to paint from. I often head out to rustic conservation areas to paint their forests and shorelines on location. Some places are as close as my back door others a day’s journey way up in northern Ontario’s bear country. Some of my art adventures take me all the way to Phoenix Arizona, London, Portugal and Spain where I revel in the endless array of beauty.

Thank you for coming to my website, looking forward to hearing from you!
